Lt. Robert H. Dee, Jr.'s Diary
Co-Pilot, 601st Squadron

Dee's Mission No.
34

18 March 1945
Target:
Berlin, Germany

No. 34
March 18, 1945

The target was Berlin. The MPI was a station in Berlin.
There was over 400 flak guns. The flak just boiled up, but by the Grace of God we just got one hole in the cowling. One man was killed, and 2 were injured. We carried mostly incendiary clusters, and the group in front of us carried 1,000 lb. bombs.
