T/Sgt. George W. Forsyth's Diary
Engineer/TT Gunner 602nd Squadron

Foryth's Mission No.
7

26 November 1944
Target:
Oil Plants, Misburg, Germany

November 26, 1944

Today we flew our seventh combat mission. We bombed the oil plants at Misburg. The flak wasn’t too heavy but it was accurate. We got two holes near number three engine. The enemy fighters were reported in the area but we didn’t see them. Thank God. Most of the way back we were fired on. The temperature was fifty-two below. The weather on return was very poor as usual. On oxygen for five hours.
