T/Sgt. Armand Fugge's Diary
Engineer/Top Turret Gunner 600th Squadron

26 April 1944
London

April 26, 1944
Got up at 1100. London was bombed last night. We could see the see the ack-ack flashes and heard the bombs exploding. Flights and flights of planes passed over all day. It was the steady drone of high flying bombers. The newest rumor is 30 missions, 3 months in the States, 30 more missions – then a discharge.
