Engineer/Top Turret Gunner 600th Squadron

Bordeaux, France

June 15, 1944
Got up at 0100. Briefed at 0230 and our target was Bordeax, France. Takeoff was 0455. As soon as we hit the French coast Number 3 engine screwed up so we aborted and landed at 0830. Cleaned my guns the went to the sack ‘til noon.

Because they returned, this was not considered a mission for the Lowe Crew.
