T/Sgt. Armand Fugge's Diary
Engineer/Top Turret Gunner 600th Squadron

Fugge Mission No.
20

25 June 1944
Target:
Aircraft Repair Depot, Toulouse, France

June 25, 1944
Got up at 0100. Briefed at 0230 and our target was an aircraft depot repair base at Toulouse, France. Take off was 0430. Carried 18 – 250 lb. G.P. bombs. Flew over Caen and flak there was concentrated and accurate. Target was clear and we bombed from 25,000 ft. Flak was heavy in the target area. One of our new crews got shot up pretty bad so they hit the silk.

Came home over the sea around the Brest Peninsula. Landed at 1420. I’ve got to report to Doc Kelley for something I wrote in one of my letters.

Got credit for our last mission to Lille, France, June 24th. MISSION # 20 COMPLETED.
