Non Mission Days

July 20, 1944
Slept till noon. The boys hit Dessau, Germany today. No planes lost.

July 21, 1944
Got up at noon. No mission scheduled for the group. Hung around most of the afternoon. Went down to the line and got a motor from one of the junked planes. I’m going to rig up a wheel so that I can work on plexiglass faster.

July 22, 1944
Got up at noon. No mission scheduled. Hung around all afternoon. Lyman and Dom bought a radio in town for 15 lb.

July 23, 1944
Slept till noon. No mission for the group today. Killed the afternoon. Worked a little on the plexiglass knife. Helped Leo rig up a light on his bicycle.
