Mission: Nuebrandenburg, Germany

We bombed visually at 24,000 feet a FW-190 airplane assembly plant. We encountered no flak, and no battle damage much to our surprise. Enemy aircraft were reported in the area, but we encountered none. Temperature was –42 degrees. We were airborne 9-3/4 hours, on oxygen 4 hours. Excellent bomb strike was reported. This was another easy one.
