Mission: Paderborn, Germany

We bombed PFF at 23,000 feet on a locomotive works and steel factory. The temperature was –49 degrees. We were airborne 6-1/2 hours, and 3-1/2 hours on oxygen. We encountered no flak, and had no battle damage. All of our planes came back that day. I am glad to be with Pinner’s crew. It is a great crew to fly with. Luke also agrees. I am now over the hump with 18 missions, and working down the hill, after 5 months.
