Robert Weidig's wife typed a copy from the original diary years ago and this typed version was submitted to then 398th Group Historian, Jack Wintersteen. Jack later put it into his compilation of 398th materials called Jack's Books. In 2003 Ann Collins transcribed the Jack's Books copy of the Weidig diary to electronic text for the 398th Web Page. Ann Collins is the daughter of Phillip Collins, Ball Turret Gunner on the 601st Saul Marias Crew. There was also some minor editing of the web version by Dave Jordan.
