Load: 2300 gals of gas, 6-1000 lb. bombs.
Altitude: 21,000 feet.
Flight Time: 4:25 hours
Escort: P-38s all the way.
Force of raid: One group of 18 planes.
Position: Number 3 position on group leader.
Opposition: None whatsoever. The flak was far-off over left wing.

Battle Damage: None.
Results: Unobserved.
Day's losses: One fighter.

Remarks: Bombed off of PFF through nine tenths coverage. Pretty easy mission these last two, but they are going to come out and get us one of these days.


Editor's Note: The 3 June 1944 398th Bomb Group morning target was Manihen, France and the afternoon target was Manihen, France. Research of the 398th records show that the Stanley Reed Crew, including Navigator Lt. Mark Woods flew in the afternoon mission which was nominally to Manihen, France.
