Rail Yards, Ludwigshafen, Germany

May 27, 1944
I was up 0300. Briefed at 0430 and our target was Ludwigshaven [Ludwigshafen], Germany. Take off was 0830. Our load was 10 – 500 lb. G.P.'s. Got 6 1/2 hours on oxygen. Flew along the Swiss Alps on the way in. Flak was heavy and boxed over the target. Saw a few boys hit the silk. We got our share of holes. Bombed from 24,100 feet. We hit it good today.

MISSION # 6 COMPLETED.
