Engineer/Top Turret Gunner 600th Squadron

**15 June 1944**
**Bordeaux, France**
June 15, 1944 Got up at 0100. Briefed at 0230 and our target was Bordeax, France. Takeoff was 0455. As soon as we hit the French coast Number 3 engine screwed up so we aborted and landed at 0830. Cleaned my guns the went to the sack ‘til noon. Editor's Note: Because they returned, this was not considered a mission for the Lowe Crew.
