   The diary covers missions between Winter 1943 to August 5, 1944.

   The typed reconstuction of his 32 mission was made years later, probably to be handed out to members of the Lowe crew to bring back memories and to see if anything could be added. Derald states that most of the time the mission diary was written right after each mission or shortly thereafter.
