  1. This was the Group Lead Crew -Group Leader Captain William C. Markley, 600th SQ- for a mission to Fiefs, France (the 398th BG's 38th mission). This was a special "Mickey" Crew from the 41st Wing, 379th BG. The B-17G GH Pathfinder flown by this crew was borrowed from the 379th BG, 524th SQ, serial# 42-32000 WA-P "Mojo Jr." This 379th BG aircraft later crash-landed near Bognor Regis on July 4, 1944.
