Nuthampstead Air Base Photos - Summer of 1944

Lt. Ed Jordan's took the photograph below while he was stationed at the Nuthampstead Air Base durring the Summer of 1944.

  1. The light one is an English Cocker Spaniel.
  2. The dark one is a Black Scotty dog, possibly named Satan.
  3. Bruce L. Payne, son of Col. Mike Payne, 398th Bomb Group pilot, deceased, mentioned that his father spoke of the Chaplain's little black dog at Nuthampstead that was called Satan.
  4. The 398th's Chaplain was Rev. Duvall.
