Ed Jordan is in the back and Robert Kirby is in front of this PT-19A. It looks like they are ready to go. Robert Kirby was a fellow student so it appears they are going up together to get some practice flying. I am uncertain whether it is the front or back that is the pilot; perhaps it doesn't matter as it was a trainer and the students just took turns flying together after their solos.
